Is it normal to have thick white/clear discharge right after sex?
Q. right after me and my fiance' had sex, i noticed when i went to use the bathroom this thick almost snot like white/clear discharge came out. it didn't hurt nor did it have a smell to it. we are trying to have a baby so we didn't use any protection. also my period is suppose to come today. is this normal discharge?

50% effaced 2 cm dilated last week...have I dilated more?
Q. a week ago I was 2 cm and 50 % effaced, and this whole week ive been having some lower back pain and stronger braxton hicks and lots (like every time i stand up from peeing) I get a big blob of mucus thats clear & white like snot (sorry tmi) Do you think ive dilated more this week? We've had sex, Ive walked ALOT!...The reason I ask is tomorrow is my dr. appt. and they said if I am 3-4 cm they will induce me & IM super miserable... A. don't check yourself because of infection, your probably closer, I was like that for weeks. But with more mucus they might go ahead and break your water in the hospital. Try not to eat alot, just eat cereal or something like that. Also drink 100% apple-cranberry juice (ocean spray brand is good), it will help with any infections afterwards Good luck and I would take your hospital bag to the doctors.

What is this slimy, milky white, almost "snot-like" stuff on my bog wood?
Q. I recently purchased a huge peice of bog wood to put inside my 125 gl. Oscar tank. It's been in there for 3 days and just now I noticed this weird white slime all over it. Prior to inserting the wood into the tank, I soaked it in the bath tub in plain hot water; no soaps nor chemicals. I changed the water several times until it was clear and the wood was free of dust and other debris so I don't know what could be causing this. Above all, is it harmful and how do I remedy this situation? Thanks

A. Green snot usually means infection, and usually a little blood in snot indicates a sinus infection. I think yellow snot is ok, but just watch it and if it turns green then you'll know to take her in to the doctor.

Is there any possible way i could be pregnant?

A. Every time I have been pregnant, I have had loads and loads of CM - verging on the point of disgusting! I had to wear panty liners it was that bad. It was always cloudy with a srtange tinge to it - almost like an apple white if that makes sense. Ha ha, def TMI!! Hope this helps!

My Chihuahua is gagging and throwing up white foam and a "snotty like clear liquid", does she need help?
Q. She started this throwing up and gagging today, and when she starts gagging, this foam comes up, and she swallows it back. Once she puked and it was a clear liquid snot like liquid. We thought it was the fuzz type balls we gave her that she swallowed the fuzz, but we check her poop, and nothing seems too be in it from that ball. When you pick her up she kind of grunts/whines but she always done that. And her poop is solid, she's eating fine, and drinking is at a minimum. I need help!

Any unusual discharge is worth testing, especially if it has an odour. Did you stop the depo shot because you are trying for another baby? Do a pregnancy test. You never get a false positive!! Then go and see your doctor, for reassurance, or your local walk-in well woman clinic. I'm sure it will be of value to you to get checked out, and it will get you the peace of mind you need.

A. The EWCM means that you are *fertile*. Being fertile means that you are either about to ovulate or are ovulating. The EXACT time of ovulation is impossible to predict, so best thing to do is start having sex when you see the discharge. Not everyone's is clear. A. The EWCM means that you are *fertile*. Being fertile means that you are either about to ovulate or are ovulating. The EXACT time of ovulation is impossible to predict, so best thing to do is start having sex when you see the discharge. Not everyone's is clear. omg..i think i just lost part of my mucus plug!!! im only 34 weeks!?
Q. ok so im 34 weeks preggo and lately in my discharge ive been seeing what seems to be little peices of my mucus plug.. [srry tmi] like tiny little clear, whitish very very light yellow booger looking things. just now i felt really wet like i had alot of discharge as usual and went to wipe and there was this big chunk of clear very light yellow and white snot type stuff. maybe about as big as a peanut. theres no blood in it though. if im loosing part of my plug now does this mean labor is coming soon??

A. yup, thats ur mucus plug for sure... i lost mine at 36 weeks, but didnt deliver til 41+4 - so no, that doesnt necessarily mean ur gonna deliver soon... u may do, but u may also be fine for a few more weeks! most of the time, after u have lost ur mucus plug, it can take like 2 weeks for labour to start off!

I keep smelling odd smells of things that aren't around, and other things, please have a read and help! :)?
Q. The other day I could smell roast dinners with bisto... there was none, also satsumas and something else I cant remember. Also smells like coffee, fag smoke and perticulary on my walk to work down the canal the smell of the canal makes me wanna hurl, also i keep getting dissy spells and head aches, and general tiredness. Also and im so sorry if this is tmi, but about a month ago i had a massive amount of vaganal discharge that was incredibly thick, with a consistancy like clear snot/jelly with white streaks in it, sorry folks! also i have had a fair few spots, ive never been spotty in all my life! now ive got a spotty botty!!!

My period was due Nov.30th and it is 6 days late, on Dec. 1st i took a HPT and it was negative...for the past 2 weeks i have been having this burning/ cramping just bellow my belly button, tired all day (cant stop yawning), constantly thirsty, wanting to eat every time i smell food, and my cm has increased some days its clear others its thick white, and some days its even like snot (TMI sry) yesterday i was nausea's almost all day, but today i was shopping and i had to stop b/c my lower/ mid back started to hurt but idk i think that was from standing up/walking around for a few hours...Could this be a sign of pregnancy? Could i have taken the HPT to early? Has anyone else ever experienced this? I have herd that to get accurate resulst on… [cont.]

A. Pregnancy hormone tesst may read negative this early as the hormone levels are still low. Wait and see if a frustrating option but tried and true. The symptoms you're describing can indeed be signs of pregnancy, truth is some people may experience signs and symptons very early, it's never too early, I was sick with my second pregnancy in the first 2 weeks. By Dr's standards, if you are pregnant, you would be considered 5 weeks along as they count from the first day of your last period. 5 weeks is well and truly far enough along to have the effects you mentioned but can also be too early to test positive with urine and blood tests, most Dr's would reccommend waiting until your next period would be due.
