How do I hide stuff in the hallway?
Q. I have a bunch of "stuff" (i.e. - chairs, boxes, etc.) being stored in the hallway upstairs in my home. The upstairs is a loft though so from the living room you can see all that crap :( Room dividers are several hundred dollars and I would need several. Looking to keep it cheap. An ideas on how to hide all that stuff?
Asked by Angela C - Fri Jan 4 01:13:40 2008 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments
A. makeshift room dividers of cloth. You can buy yards and yards of material at the wal mart bargain bins for a dollar a yard. Get a box of thumb tacks..and viola instant barrier between stored stuff and the view. You can even choose mismatched patterns and funky colors or whatever to compliment your decor.

Why the pool has yellowish stuff at the bottom when the Cl/Br and pH tests were good?
Q. There is a layer of yellowish stuff covering the bottom of pool. It looks like algea but not sure if it is. All tests, Cl/Br and pH were in the right range. The stuff can be scrapped off with brushes and get suspended in the water, but it will settle back down after a few hours. The pump has been circulating for 6 hrs a day.

A. what you have is mustard algae you make sure your alkilinity and ph are correct, add 2 and 1/2 gallons of liquid chlorine, 4 to eight caps full of Yellow Treat, lightly brush the pool, run pump 24 hours, backwash or rinse cartridge, keep stabilized chlorine tablets in your pool weekly and start by checking your T.D.S. level's and see if you have stabilizer in your water. No Mor Problems is also a excellent product that can be used in conjunction with Yellow Treat.

A. Due to their purchasing power. They buy in extreme volume and get bulk discount pricing. Also, they tell vendors what they will pay them not vice versa. If a vendor doesn't like the price Walmart will find a vendor that will give them their price. Most vendors don't want to lose Walmart's business so they agree to Walmart's purchase price. Walmart is then able to offer the goods for the low prices that they do. I was able to tour one of their warehouses and they are quite expansive. Walmart has mastered the art of knowing what they need, how much they need, and when they need it. They order merchandise months in advance. How do I get the stuff I bought from US stores online to my home in Mexico?
Q. Hi, I usually buy stuff from Amazon and send it to Mexico directly. But now I want to order from different stores that ship to US only. I know there are businesses that receive and store your shopping for a while in a US adress, but I would like that stuff forwarded to my house in Mexico. Does someone provide this kind of service and how much does it cost? I would like to buy clothes, DVDs and books in the most part. Thank you!

Previous tenants left behind stuff in rental home. How long do I have to keep it before I can throw it out?
Q. I rented a house and the previous tenants left behind several boxes of legal paperwork (business contracts, tax forms and the like.) The rental agent called them and they were supposed to pick this stuff up in August but never showed. It's been four months since I moved in. Can I throw this stuff out, or am I legally obligated to keep it? I don't have their phone number but they have mine.

A. The law states that you have to give them a "reasonable time". 4 Months is more than reasonable. Actually the owner/property manager should have picked this stuff up before you moved and contacted the tenant. Regards

When did you start bying clothes and stuff for your baby?
Q. I finally fell for the cute outfits and bought my baby $100 worth of stuff...I bought gender neutral stuff and I couldn't resist this little dress and this little onsie that says I love daddy and its navy blue so either sex can wear it. I can change the dresses but my problem is we aren't gonna find out the sex untill birth and thats in 5 months which will be too late to exchange it. What should I do to stop myself from bying stuff?

A. If you want to buy stuff now buy all gender nuetral stuff. I started getting stuff for my son at about 3 months, but have only been getting the nursery ready. Its definitely not a bad Idea to make the furniture purchases that way you can do it a little bit at a time and by the time your baby is here it will be ready. another good thing to start buying is diapers because your definitely going to need them, and buying them all at once can be rather expensive so I would buy 1 box of diapers a month until your baby is due that way your not overwhelmed with spending when he/she is here. As far as clothing goes I would avoid that until you feel it is time to buy those things. I would avoid going into the baby department, and if you do I would… [cont.]

What stuff from your home you use for beauty?
Q. I'm refering stuff you get from the grocer section and not from drug section. Such as, when I was a teen, I used egg whites on my face. As a child, my mother used mayo in my hair to condition. I heard tea bags help with puffy eyes. I was asking because I want to try some stuff to help feel better about my looks, but also something to do when I have a case of the blues, like boyfriend troubles for instance. I think I will try to get back in the habit of steaming my face: put boiled water in the sink, drape a towel over my head, not be too close to the water, and do this for 5 minutes, to purify my face. I haven't done that in over a decade!

Q. I have not flown in a while and need to know how much stuff like perfume, cologne, hair gel etc I can carry on board? Also, I had a small herbal remedy for my panic attacks called rescue remedy. It's about a 1 once bottle of herbal extract, will this bo ok to carry on board? Thanks!

A. Here are the rules: All liquids, gels and aerosols must be in three-ounce or smaller containers. Larger containers that are half-full or toothpaste tubes rolled up are not allowed. Each container must be three ounces or smaller. All liquids, gels and aerosols must be placed in a single, quart-size, zip-top, clear plastic bag. Gallon size bags or bags that are not zip-top such as fold-over sandwich bags are not allowed. Each traveler can use only one, quart-size, zip-top, clear plastic bag. You can have as many bottles (3 ounces or smaller) as you want, as long as they fit in this quartz-size plastic bag. Your herbal extract should be OK.

What the best way to sell stuff fast when you're moving and selling a house?
Q. I know that garage sale is the obvious answer, but I live kinda off the beaten track and don't get alot of people. And furniture you get nothing for. Anybody try consignment? I have alot of furniture. Quality stuff. What about an auction? Or putting it in the paper? There is just so much to do. I also have stock left from a gift store and I have no idea what to do with all this miscellaneous stuff. Help! Which way is best?

A. do you have www.craigslist.com by you? I have heard great things about that site! Its like ebay and a garage sale all in one. You could do a diff kind of rummage sale and call it something else so it sounds classier. Print up and send out some flyer's for friends and relatives saying you are having a sale at your house on a certain day. Put in the flyer that it will be first come first serve, cash and carry stuff and type some of the stuff you will be selling. Maybe add that if they bring someone with them them will get a little gift. That way you will want to bring someone with them!

How do I put stuff outside my apartment unit on Sims 2 Apartment Life?
Q. It won't let me put stuff in the lobby/patio, and I want to throw a party, but there is no radio. Is there a cheat to allow me to put stuff outside my unit?

A. There is a cheat, it's: boolprop aptsublotspecifictoolsdis abled false When you're done, stop the cheat by typing boolprop aptsublotspecifictoolsdis abled true in the cheat box.
